Speeches on The Art of Strategic Timing
Dr. Ralph DeAmicis Speaking on Strategic Planning
It's All in the Timing
Throughout history, in every major culture, leaders have recorded cycles and used that knowledge to plan future events. Some are as fundamental as the timing built into the Calendar. Others, used by long term planners, track the rise and fall of economies. In the west the first day of Spring is celebrated with festivals that also carry a darker note, because it also heralded the beginning of any ongoing military campaign. When most people were worked in agriculture or other forms of food gathering, they were tightly governed by the cycles. Of course, prior to electricity in workplaces and home becoming wide spread, the cycle of day and night dominated most people's lives. Even though we can crank up the heating or AC, and keep the lights on, these historical cycles, big and small, are still profoundly influential. Being aware of them, and know how to use them can give one a big advantage.
